Abstract

The author argues that globalization has become an "uncontrollable and excluding machine ", governed by economic mechanisms that have been emancipated from ethics and culture, in a project of extermination of cultural diversity and the roots of the independent living of humans. Against this, and following the principle of Gandhi, postulates a nonviolent economy.

Economista marroquí, director del grupo de investigación sobre las economías locales, Universidad del Litoral, Costa de Ópalo, co-fundador y administrador de la Red Sur-Norte Culturas y Desarrollo, vicepresidente del Instituto del Futuro. Es autor de varios artículos en economía del desarrollo en Francia y en el extranjero y codirector de varias obras colectivas.
