Abstract

Human society is embedded in an environmental crisis of alarming proportions. Despite policies and international agreements to revert the situation, socioeconomic forces exist that continually reproduce degradation and depletion of the environment, and also degrade the human nature. These forces are the capitalist social relations. One of the clearest examples of the way capitalism reedits the environmental crisis is, nowadays, the case of China. In what follows we will show the great trends to degradation with eloquent examples from the chinese case.
