Social educations in the twenty-first century

The article covers the configuration of changes in education -the "access key" to the twenty-first century- in our society, positing a tension between a conservative tendency to the re-institutionalization of the system, with reforms that seek to adapt the teaching processes to the requirements of technological modernization, and the manifestation of a new educational dynamics, which poses significant challenges around cultural transformations and the creation of a new imagery of shared life. After going through social education in Chile, postulates as the task of social pedagogy to facilitate the creation and development of this new educational thinking.
