The democratization of regional spaces and political work of the peasant organization in Colombia

Abstract

The article aims to show and analyze the forms of collective action undertaken by the Association of Rural Workers of Carare (ATCC), as social and political actor in the colombian Magdalena Medio region. The logics of the developed action leads us to point out t the peasant organization as a way of enhancing the political dimension of the groups to be builders of democratization of regional territoriality. Rural dynamics proposal includes the various armed actors in the conflict, which have historically imposed exclusion logics and death of civilians. And this inclusion is based on the need for coexistence with all the social constituents in a long-winded political proyect.
