Utopian constructions: three theses and a practical rule
Main Article Content
Abstract
This essay proposes to question the opportunity of being guided by dreams and utopias, and instead build `autonomous' projects that will permit moving towards a common dream that mobilizes us, based on the conviction that we are already mobilized and articulated because there exists a utopia, which, although undoable, gives us the illusion of freedom. This notion is that of progress, and it is from this invisible utopia that we must free ourselves. In its development he presents three theses about utopia, concluding with a practical rule for the recognition of negative utopias (dystopias) that would have made us safe from many of our current nightmares; and finally posits a new word, yet to be created, which means 'the good time'.
