Abstract

Human society is embedded in an environmental crisis of alarming proportions. Despite policies and international agreements to revert the situation, socioeconomic forces exist that continually reproduce degradation and depletion of the environment, and also degrade the human nature. In what follows we will show the great trends to degradation with eloquent examples from the chinese case.
